Introduction

We are building a next-generation fleet safety platform that uses video telematics to identify
risky driving behaviour and automatically assign targeted training to drivers.
Our mission is to move beyond generic, compliance-based training and deliver real-time,
behaviour-changing learning that improves driver safety and reduces incidents.
We are now hiring a Senior Instructional Designer to own and scale our learning content
end-to-end.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Role
This is a hands-on, product-focused role.
You will be responsible for designing, creating, and delivering high-quality, mobile-first
training modules for commercial drivers — from concept through to fully built interactive
modules in H5P.
You will work closely with our product and telematics teams to translate real-world driving
behaviour into structured, engaging learning experiences.

 

Key Responsibilities
1. Learning Design & Structure
 Design modular, behaviour-focused training programmes (10–15 minute
microlearning)
 Translate real-world driving risks (e.g. tailgating, distraction, fatigue, harsh driving)
into structured learning journeys
 Define learning objectives, module flow, and assessment strategies
 Ensure all content is designed to drive behaviour change, not just knowledge
transfer

2. Content Creation
 Write clear, practical, and engaging scripts tailored to commercial drivers
 Develop realistic, scenario-based learning (decision-making in real-world situations)
 Create assessments and knowledge checks aligned to behavioural outcomes

 Continuously refine tone and style for mobile-first consumption

3. H5P / Interactive Module Development (Core Requirement)
 Design and build interactive training modules directly in H5P
 Use H5P content types such as:
o Interactive Video
o Branching Scenarios
o Course Presentations
o Quizzes and assessments
 Ensure all modules are optimised for mobile delivery
 Work with our development team to integrate and deploy content within our platform

4. End-to-End Content Ownership
 Own the full lifecycle: concept → design → script → H5P build → launch → iteration
 Establish templates and standards for scalable content production
 Ensure consistency, quality, and usability across all modules

5. Freelancer & Content Pipeline Management
 Work with freelance designers and developers to scale content production
 Provide clear briefs, structure, and quality control
 Review and approve externally created content
 Build a scalable content production workflow

6. AI-Driven Content Development
 Use AI tools to accelerate content creation (drafting, structuring, iteration)
 Continuously improve workflows to increase speed and efficiency
 Combine AI-generated content with human refinement for high-quality output

7. Product Collaboration
 Work closely with internal teams using telematics insights to guide training needs
 Help define Phase 1 (baseline content) and Phase 2 (advanced / layered content)
 Contribute to product thinking around learning delivery and user engagement

Desired Experience & Qualification

What We’re Looking For
Must Have (Non-Negotiable)
 Proven experience building interactive eLearning content using H5P
 Ability to take a module from:
 concept → structure → script → H5P build
 5+ years of experience in instructional design / eLearning
 Strong experience designing scenario-based, behaviour-driven learning
 Experience creating mobile-first microlearning
 Excellent written English
 Ability to work independently and own outcomes

Highly Desirable
 Experience in safety, compliance, or behavioural training
 Experience working with remote teams/freelancers
 Experience building content for non-corporate audiences (e.g. drivers, field workers)
 Familiarity with AI tools for content creation
