Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Supporting and Assisting the Senior Instructional Designer in learning projects, maintains design documentation, and contributes to internal quality assurance to ensure that all learning material is accurate, instructionally sound, and aligned to retail operational requirements.
- Design and develop moderately complex learning content for Retail and FMCG employees, including store-based, supervisory, and support-office audiences.
- Partner with business SMEs and operational stakeholders in consultation with Training Manager to define learning goals, performance gaps, and content requirements.
- Apply sound instructional design practices, adult learning principles, and appropriate learning methodologies to create effective learning solutions.
- Conduct detailed learning needs analyses to identify priority training requirements across retail operations.
- Develop learning frameworks, storyboards, assessments, and learner support materials for digital, facilitated, and blended delivery.
- Maintain project plans, version control, and design documentation throughout the learning development process.
- Perform internal quality assurance and peer review to ensure content accuracy, consistency, functionality, and learner relevance.
- Present proposed learning solutions, concepts, and design approaches to key stakeholders for review and sign-off.
- Keep up to date with trends, tools, and best practice in learning and development, especially within fast-paced operational environments.
- Ensure learning solutions are practical and aligned to frontline retail realities, including customer service, compliance, stock handling, operations, and team leadership.
