Emeris – City, Cape Town has a vacancy for a Part-Time Lecturer in the following module:

Semester 2

  • Motion Design Technology 3B

Key Performance Areas:

Prepare for lectures based on provided content. Supplement content with own expertise. Deliver assigned modules to the stated outcomes and contracted hours. Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback. Support student academic success by implementing workshops where needed.  Perform academic admin, such as capturing assessment marks and reporting on student success. Provide content feedback. Engage with professional development opportunities and attend initial training sessions.


Job Purpose:

Lecture based on provided content, ensure students are guided and supported in their learning. Mark student submissions and engage with campus teaching and learning

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Ideal:
    • NQF 8 qualification or higher in Motion Design,  Digital Design or Multimedia  and a portfolio demonstrating expertise in 2D and 3D animation software and Unreal Engine.
  • Alternative:
    • An NQF 8 qualification or higher in a related field such as Animation, Game Design, Digital Arts or Film Studies PLUS a portfolio demonstrating expertise in 2D and 3D animation software and Unreal Engine.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:​

  • ​​Intermediate to advanced skills in 3D software such as Blender or 3DS Max and Adobe Creative Cloud Software, with experience in 3D animation.  Min 1 year work experience using 3D software is required
