Emeris – City, Cape Town has a vacancy for a Part-Time Lecturer in the following module:

Semester 2

• Motion Design Fundamentals

Key Performance Areas:

Prepare for lectures based on provided content. Supplement content with own expertise. Deliver assigned modules to the stated outcomes and contracted hours. Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback. Support student academic success by implementing workshops where needed.  Perform academic admin, such as capturing assessment marks and reporting on student success. Provide content feedback. Engage with professional development opportunities and attend initial training sessions.

Job Purpose:

Lecture based on provided content, ensure students are guided and supported in their learning. Mark student submissions and engage with campus teaching and learning

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• Ideal:
  • Advanced Diploma or Honours Degree in Digital Design, Multimedia Design, Digital Arts, or Motion Design and Animation
• Alternatively:
  • Advanced Diploma or Honours Degree in Digital Design, Multimedia Design, Digital Arts, or Motion Design and Animation, OR
  • Undergraduate qualification in a relevant design field, and an NQF 7 or higher qualification in Higher Education, OR  
  • Advanced Diploma or Honours Degree in Graphic- or Information Design or Film Arts with at least 3 years' experience as a Motion designer in a design studio or advertising agency.
