Emeris – City, Cape Town has a vacancy for a Part-Time Lecturer in the following module:

Semester 2

  • Interior Design Professional Practice 3B

Key Performance Areas:

Prepare for lectures based on provided content. Supplement content with own expertise. Deliver assigned modules to the stated outcomes and contracted hours. Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback. Support student academic success by implementing workshops where needed.  Perform academic admin, such as capturing assessment marks and reporting on student success. Provide content feedback. Engage with professional development opportunities and attend initial training sessions.


Job Purpose:

Lecture based on provided content, ensure students are guided and supported in their learning. Mark student submissions and engage with campus teaching and learning

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Honours/Masters/Doctorate (NQF level 8, 9 or 10) in Interior Design Interior Architecture, or Architecture, coupled with an MBA or over three years of entrepreneurial experience (owning and operating a design business/studio), OR
  • Postgraduate Diploma or Honours Degree at NQF level 8, Master's Degree at NQF level 9 in Design Management or Leadership, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, or Marketing.

 

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:​

 

  • Lecturing Experience: Proficiency in teaching general, contemporary, and/or strategic management, entrepreneurship and small business management.
  • Work Experience: Proven track record as a general or strategic manager, entrepreneur, or marketing manager.
