Elementary Classroom Teacher

Summary
RW Combs Elementary is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Classroom Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional growth of students in grades K-5. This full-time position requires a commitment to student success, collaboration with colleagues, and active participation in the school community.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the diverse needs of all students.
- Create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, exploration, and a love for learning.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including formative and summative assessments.
- Provide individualized support and intervention for students with varying academic abilities and needs.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to enhance instructional practices and contribute to school initiatives.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment that promotes respect and responsibility among students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and trends.
- Engage in school-wide activities, including parent-teacher conferences, staff meetings, and community events.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
- Valid state teaching certification for elementary education.
- Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies for diverse learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Proficiency in using technology for instruction and classroom management.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaboration with colleagues.
- Previous teaching experience in an elementary setting is preferred but not required.
