Elementary Classroom Teacher

Summary
RW Combs Elementary is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Classroom Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for students, fostering their academic, social, and emotional growth. This full-time position requires a commitment to educational excellence and collaboration with colleagues, parents, and the community to support the diverse needs of our students.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, projects, and observations, and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary projects and enhance the educational experience.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and academic performance.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs in collaboration with support staff.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively and establish clear expectations for student conduct.
- Engage in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the overall mission and goals of RW Combs Elementary.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
- Valid state teaching certification or license for elementary education.
- Strong knowledge of child development and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and adapt to the needs of diverse learners.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Previous teaching experience in an elementary setting is preferred but not required.
- A passion for education and a dedication to student success.
