SENIOR LECTURER:
- A Master of Commence in Accountancy or equivalent (NQF 9).
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in teaching accounting.
- A minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience in an accounting subject group is desirable.
- Member of SAICA as CA.
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS):
- A working knowledge of essential technical competencies required in the field of accountancy including accounting, auditing, management accounting, financial management and taxation.
- Knowledge of working with students, handling large classes, setting assessments.
- Knowledge of Accounting-related software packages.
- Knowledge of process of research and willingness to do research.
BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
- Communication skills
- Professional and Ethical behaviour
- Adaptability
REMUNERATION:
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
