The main purpose of this position is to contribute to teaching and learning, research and innovation, engagement, leadership, and administration at the discipline (Climatology Geography), school and faculty levels.

Senior Lecturer Leadership The provision of academic leadership at the module(s) level. The provision of academic leadership in the Geography Programme(s). Teaching & Learning Provision of theoretically informed and pedagogically sound teaching. Provision of theoretically informed and pedagogically sound teaching based on current research in Geography. Research Research and the production of accredited research outputs. Postgraduate supervision at Honours and Master's level. Research and the production of accredited research outputs. Postgraduate supervision leading to the graduation of Masters' and Doctoral students in the minimum time Engagement Participation in engagement activities related to the discipline/profession and the community. Participation in learned societies. Some application of discipline/professional knowledge and skills to the benefit of the external community

Senior Lecturer Highest Qualification MSc qualification in Climatology and preferably a Doctoral qualification or progress towards a Doctoral qualification in Climatology. PhD in Climatology. Teaching experience Some experience with the facilitation of learning, possible as a tutor and preferably some teaching experience. 5 years in facilitation of learning and teaching at university level Research Some evidence of research activity such as published papers or conference attendance, which may be associated with postgraduate research. A good record of research outputs including papers in accredited national and international journals and presentations at national and international conferences. A good record of postgraduate supervision at Masters' level with some of these students publishing their research. Engagement Preference will be given to applicants who have some experience with engagement activities. Participation in Environmental societies and evidence of extensive engagement in the discipline. Some application of disciplinary / professional knowledge and skills to the benefit of the external community.
