Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Mechanical/ Mechatronics Engineering.
- A Bachelor of Technology (BTech) or Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering.
- Professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) is an added advantage.
Experience
- A minimum of two year’s lecturing mechanical engineering at a higher education institution or industry experience.
- Candidates who have a record of research publication output will have an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies required
- Applied knowledge of Mechanical Engineering design applications within field of expertise
- Computer literate and applied knowledge of MS Office software applications including MS Project
- Professional/Technical experience in the mechanical and construction industry
- Be able to maintain professional relations between lecturers and students
- Good end-user computer skills and knowledge of technology-assisted teaching
- Sound interpersonal relationship
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Good Communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-driven and lifelong learner
- Excellent preparation and organizational skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to conduct research
