Qualifications:
· A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering majoring in Water Engineering and Engineering Drawing.
· Professional registration with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) is an added advantage.
Experience:
· Minimum of 2 years lecturing experience in an institution of higher learning or industry experience
· Evidence of research publication/conference presentations will be an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies Required:
· Demonstrated abilities to teach undergraduate students.
· Problem Based Learning (PBL) Teaching skill.
· Ability to mentor and guide students in their academic and career development, providing feedback and support for research projects.
· Commitment to ongoing research, staying updated with advancements, and incorporating relevant findings into teaching.
· Strong collaborative skills, working effectively with colleagues, industry professionals, and fostering a collaborative learning environment.
· Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), as well as email, internet and retrieval of electronic documents.
· Knowledge and competency of using Technology in facilitating teaching and learning which includes using a Learner Management System such as Moodle, WiseUp, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype.
· Proactive approach to improving teaching methods, integrating new technologies, and seeking feedback for self-improvement.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
