Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering majoring in Power Systems.
- Professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) is an added advantage.
Experience:
- A minimum of two year’s lecturing Electrical engineering or industry experience.
- Candidates who have a record of research publication output will have an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies required
- Computer literacy and competency including Word, Excel, PowerPoint presentations, internet and retrieval of electronic documents.
- Professional/Technical experience in the mechanical and construction industry
- Be able to maintain professional relations between lecturers and students
- Good end-user computer skills and knowledge of technology-assisted teaching such as Moodle, Wise Up, Zoom, Microsoft Teams & Skype
- Sound interpersonal relationship
- Competency in DigSilent Powere Factory and MatLab/Simulink
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Good Communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-driven and lifelong learner
- Excellent preparation and organizational skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to conduct research
