The Matron will support the welfare, care, supervision, and general well-being of students within the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide appropriate care and supervision for students.
• Support students' personal welfare and daily needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment.
• Monitor student welfare and report concerns appropriately.
• Support boarding or residential routines where applicable.
• Work closely with school management and relevant staff.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student welfare matters

Requirements

1. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (B.Ed., B.Sc./B.A. with PGDE)
2. Previous experience in a boarding, residential, pastoral care, or student welfare role will be an added advantage.
3. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
4. Good knowledge of student welfare, safeguarding, health, hygiene, and personal care practices.
5. Strong ability to supervise, support, and guide students in a safe and nurturing environment.
6. A strong passion for student wellbeing, personal development, and character building.
7. Good moral character, integrity, patience, and emotional maturity.
8. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality when dealing with students.
9. Strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration with school management, teachers, parents, and other staff.
10. Ability to respond appropriately to student concerns, emergencies, and welfare issues.
11. Good organizational and record-keeping skills, with attention to students' needs and daily routines.
12. Relevant experience as a School Matron, House Parent, Boarding Staff, or Student Welfare Officer will be an added advantage.
