  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the school.
  • Oversee the academic, administrative, and operational activities of the school.
  • Supervise teachers and support staff and monitor their performance.
  • Ensure effective implementation of the school curriculum and academic programmes.
  • Monitor students’ academic performance, discipline, welfare, and overall development.
  • Develop and implement school policies, procedures, and improvement plans.
  • Lead staff meetings, training, appraisals, and professional development programmes.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents, staff, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant educational standards and regulations.
  • Manage school resources effectively and promote a safe, positive, and conducive learning environment.
  • Represent the school at meetings, events, and other professional engagements.
  • Lead and coordinate Cambridge and IGCSE examination preparation, including examination planning, revision programmes, student readiness, and academic support.
  • Ensure effective preparation of students and staff for Cambridge and IGCSE examinations and maintain high academic standards.

Requirements
Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant field. Master’s Degree in Education, Educational Management, or a related field is an advantage. Relevant teaching/education certification is required. Cambridge/IGCSE certification or relevant Cambridge/IGCSE examination training is highly required.


Experience:

Minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or administrative role. Previous experience as a Head Teacher, Vice Principal, Coordinator, or Head of Department is an advantage. Proven experience in school administration, staff supervision, and academic management. Strong practical experience in Cambridge and IGCSE examination preparation is required. Demonstrable experience organising and coordinating Cambridge/IGCSE examination preparation, including revision programmes, mock examinations, student assessment, and examination readiness. Experience working with Cambridge/IGCSE students, teachers, examination requirements, and academic programmes is strongly required.


Skills:

Strong leadership and people-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong administrative and organizational abilities. Good knowledge of school management and curriculum development. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to motivate, supervise, and develop staff. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant digital tools. Strong understanding of child safeguarding and student welfare. Strong knowledge of Cambridge and IGCSE curriculum requirements and examination preparation. Ability to plan, coordinate, and monitor Cambridge and IGCSE examination preparation programmes.


Other Requirements:

Must demonstrate integrity, professionalism, strong leadership, and commitment to educational excellence. Must be proactive, organized, and capable of working effectively under pressure. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be willing to participate in school activities, meetings, and events. Must be willing to work collaboratively with management, teachers, parents, students, and other stakeholders. Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the school’s location. Candidates without relevant Cambridge/IGCSE examination preparation experience may not be considered.


Remuneration

Competitive salary (N250,000 - N300,000 monthly) based on qualifications and experience. Other benefits in accordance with the school’s policies.
