Introduction

Small private school in the East of pretoria is seeking a qualified teacher (Afrikaans Home Language and English 2nd Additional Language) that is residing in Pretoria East (preferably).

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Teaching and Learning:
  • Deliver engagement Lessons: Present creative lessons in Afrikaans (Home Language)
  • and English (FAL)
  • Curriculum Adherence: Implemented CAPS requirements specially for
  • Intermediate fase. (Gr 4 – 6) and Senior phase (Gr 7).
  • Mixed ability teaching: Ability to work with students, offering support.
  • Assessement and Monitoring: Set, mark and moderate tests and exams;
  • manage the assessment roster and academic
  • progress records.
  • Technology Integration: Use digital tools (Interactive boards) to enhance
  • learning.
  • Administration and Professionalism
  • Reporting: Write report comments
  • Professional Development: Attend staff /departmental meetings
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a discipline, nurturing and engaging learning
  • environment.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree
  • Registration: Valid SACE registration (or proof of application)
  • Language Profinciency: Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English) with writing skills.
  • Experience: Minimun 5+ years of teaching experience.
  • Clearance: Valid police clearance certificate.
  • Attitude: Passionate, innovative, patient.
