Head of Academics (Secondary)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced academic leader to oversee the delivery of both the Nigerian and Cambridge curricula in our secondary school. The ideal candidate will drive academic excellence, support teachers, and ensure strong student performance in internal and external examinations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation of the Nigerian and Cambridge (IGCSE) curricula
• Ensure effective preparation for WAEC, NECO, and Cambridge examinations
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate teaching staff
• Lead teacher training and professional development initiatives
• Monitor student performance using data and ensure high academic standards
• Maintain strong safeguarding and pastoral care systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (PGDE required for non-education degrees)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior academic leadership role
• Strong knowledge of both Nigerian and Cambridge curricula
• Proven experience preparing students for WAEC, NECO, and IGCSE exams
