The role drives growth in deposits, lending, payments and transaction banking with Education, Faith Based & Social Services (EFS) entities while ensuring compliance with Education, Faith Based & Social Services (EFS) finance regulations and governance standards.

Business and Financial performance
Customer Excellence
- Ensure compliance with Education, Faith Based & Social Services (EFS) finance regulations, procurement guidelines, donor policies and internal governance procedures.
- Oversee credit assessment, structuring and approval of loans and project finance for educational and service sector projects.
- Work with treasury and trade finance teams to offer FX, guarantees and letters of credit to Education, Faith Based & Social Services (EFS) entities.
- Promote digital platforms, electronic payments and cashless collections for schools, churches, hospitals and service providers.
- Guide the development of bespoke financial education and capacity-building programs for Education, Faith Based & Social Services (EFS) partners.
Leadership and people management
- Manage relationships with government agencies, regulators and donor agencies, ensuring transparency and adherence to contractual obligations.
- Monitor political, regulatory and socio-economic trends affecting the Education, Faith Based & Social Services (EFS) and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Lead and develop a team of Education, Faith Based & Social Services (EFS) sector relationship managers, ensuring strong customer service, product knowledge and compliance awareness.
- Develop strategic partnerships with NGOs, multilateral organizations and development finance institutions to support sector initiatives.
- Participate in Education, Faith Based & Social Services (EFS) tender processes, bids and requests for proposals with timely and competitive submissions.
Process, control and operational performance
- Oversee account operations, client onboarding, documentation, reporting and service-level agreements for Education, Faith Based & Social Services (EFS) clients.
- Work with risk and compliance to manage credit, operational and reputational risks associated with Education, Faith Based & Social Services (EFS) sector engagements.
- Leverage data analytics and insights to identify opportunities, enhance product offerings and improve service delivery.
- Develop marketing and communication plans to position the bank as a trusted partner for education, faith and service institutions.
- Drive adoption of sustainability and ESG financing solutions in Education, Faith Based & Social Services (EFS) sector projects.
Strategic initiatives
- Manage budgets, resources and P&L for the EFS segment, ensuring profitable growth.
- Represent the bank at sector forums, conferences and community events to strengthen relationships and brand presence.
- Provide regular reporting on portfolio performance, pipeline and risk metrics to affiliate and regional leadership.
- Advocate internally for resources and policy support to address sector-specific challenges and opportunities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, inclusiveness and ethical conduct within the Education, Faith Based & Social Services (EFS) sector banking team.

Experience & Qualification
- Bachelor’s/ master’s degree in business administration, Finance, Marketing or related field of study.
- Certifications in ACCA, ACIB, ICA etc.is an added advantage
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in commercial or Education, Faith Based & Social Services (EFS) sector banking, including 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of Education, Faith Based & Social Services (EFS) finance, procurement processes and regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with government officials, non-profits and faith-based organizations.
- Experience structuring Education, Faith Based & Social Services (EFS) sector lending, project finance and cash management solutions.
- Knowledge of digital banking, electronic payments and treasury products.
- Track record of leading teams, managing budgets and delivering profitable growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
